Here are five steps on how to use digital marketing:

Explaining each step:
Step one: Choose your topic
Choose a topic you are passionate about.
State your mission, goals, objectives, target audience, budget and competitors.
Carry out your SWOT analysis.
Have a plan for your digital marketing campaign and calendar of activities.
Choose your digital marketing channels.
Plan how to measure and monitor results.
Register your domain.
Acquire hosting services.
Blog on a topic you are passionate about.
Have a content plan showing the title, format, priority, goal, and reasons for every article.
Write and publish articles for your blog.
Remain consistent and pick the best times when you have the most audience to post your articles.
Step two: Write SEO optimized articles
Carry out key word searches and find out what people are looking for online using Google Keyword Planner, Keywordtool.io and Wordtracker.
Write SEO optimized articles on your blog and publish relevant information on these topics on your blog.
Promote your blog using Bing Ads, Infolinks or AdWords.
Know how much traffic you are getting to your blog using Google Analytics.
Use Media.net, Propeller Ads Media, RevContent, PopAds, Infolinks, Amazon Associates or Google AdSense to get advertising codes onto your blog.
Step three: Use Social Media to promote your blog
Start professional Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest or Twitter pages for your blog.
Post and share different articles from that on your blog on your social media pages
Advertise on your social media pages so as to promote your blog.
Track and monitor your ads.
Link your Facebook page with your blog using a Facebook like box.
Use GetSocial.io, AddThis.com, WordPress, ShareThis.com, Monarch, AddToAny.com, Buffer.com, SocialWarfare.com, Sharexy.com, Sumome or Shareholic.com to enable social sharing on your blog and posts.
Create Facebook videos; tell your followers whenever you have a new video coming and ask them to set your videos on see first so that they do not miss out.
It is very important that you also set up your YouTube channel at this stage.
Step four: Use Email Marketing to nurture leads
You can easily increase your leads with email marketing automation.
You can preload your content and schedule the best times to send out your content.
Always email your subscribers when you publish on your blog.
Get on to an email marketing service like Constant Contact, GetResponse, Drip, ConvertKit, MailChimp, AWeber or ActiveCampaign.
Ensure you have solid, user friendly and relevant landing pages. Develop landing pages based on your keywords.
Have signup forms on your blog to collect subscriber and visitor email addresses.
Use email marketing to also promote your social media pages.
Ensure you get more subscribers onto your blog using your Facebook page.
Step five: Make your blog mobile friendly
Go ahead and design mobile ads using Sketch, AdWords, Proto.io, Marvel, OmniGraffle, HotGloo, Axure RP, Origami Studio, Adobe Experience Design XD, JustInMind or Balsamiq.
